Twelve26 Solutions, L.L.C is a Black-owned company founded by Kad Smith in Oakland, California. Our company focuses on changing the day-to-day work experiences of people in the nonprofit, philanthropic, civic, and tech sectors. We work with teams that aspire to treat their staff with dignity, that invest in holistic leadership, and those who want to challenge the norms of how organizations “should” operate. Our Values
Empathy
The practice and skill of seeking understanding, and embracing other’s emotional makeup is empathy. Empathy is one our core values in working to support organizations that encourage people to show up wholly and authentically.
Accountability
Accountability is the condition of being held responsible for one’s actions. We celebrate opportunities to create more trusting relationships and making power differentials more visible in our organizations.
Innovation
Innovation is the action or willingness to create something new. Innovation is a core value in our work as we understand the benefit in trying on fresh ideas. Innovative thinking helps us to evolve beyond the limitations we face.
Analytical Thinking
We believe that analytical thinking serves us well when facing complex challenges and obstacles. We all have developed an analysis that we apply to problem-solving. We applaud workspaces that let us share & unpack our analysis on micro and macro levels.
Humor
Laughter is one of the most universally accessible remedies to our troubles across the globe. No matter what work we engage in, we prioritize creating spaces where we seek humor and chances to laugh with one another in our daily pursuit of happiness.
Growth & Transformation
We see examples of individual, interpersonal, and institutional growth everyday. By valuing growth & transformation, we remind ourselves of how far we’ve come ~ and how much further we can go ~ when working together.
Our Vision
We focus on creating working conditions where what we do, how we work, and with whom we work with, brings us a sense of purpose and pride. We imagine workplaces where our working relationships are catalysts for individual and interpersonal transformation. We envision a country where people can identify how their day-to-day work is a vital part of a larger eco-system of social change and progress. We strive for a world that has eradicated all forms of oppression.
